This installation with two parts was made with Coulter pine needles 8-12″ long. Pine Line Suspended consisted of a floating school of 600 suspended needles. In Pine Text 2, I created a new pine needle alphabet and wrote the following quote on the wall. “As imagination bodies forth the forms of things unknown the poets pen turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing a local habitation and a name”. A key was provided which allowed the viewers to translate the quote.
